Broken Fuel Tank Assembly Fixed On-Site in Moorhead

A repeat customer called us about a broken fuel tank assembly. The assembly plate had cracked badly around the fittings - stress fractures running through the metal, ports compromised, the whole thing unusable. Not the kind of thing you can ignore or patch over with a quick fix. We drove up to Moorhead and handled it right there on location. That's the thing about fuel tank work - when a piece of equipment is down, it's costing money by the hour. Getting a welder out to the site instead of hauling the tank somewhere saves time and gets things moving again faster. Here's what the repair came down to - cut out the old damaged assembly plate and weld in a new one. Clean, properly fitted, and sealed tight. The finished weld around the new plate shows even, consistent passes all the way around the perimeter. That's what you want on a fuel tank. No shortcuts, no gaps. Fuel tank welding isn't something every shop will touch. It takes the right knowledge, the right prep, and a steady hand. We've done enough of these to know exactly what it takes to get it done right the first time - which is probably why this customer keeps calling us back.

Cracked Planter Frames Repaired and Reinforced Before Planting

One crack last season turned into a full inspection of both planters. That's usually how it goes - you find one problem area and start looking closer, and more shows up. Bad welds, stress cracks, worn-out joints. Better to know now than find out in the field mid-planting. We went through both machines top to bottom. Cracks got repaired properly - not just filled over, but prepped, welded, and reinforced so the same spot doesn't open up again under load. Any weld that looked questionable got addressed while we had everything accessible. That's the only way to do this kind of work right. The reinforcement side of it is just as important as the crack repair itself. Planters take a beating - constant flex, vibration, and ground pressure across every row. Our equipment crack repair and custom fabrication work isn't just about fixing what's broken. It's about building it back stronger so it holds up through a full season. The before and after here tells the story pretty clearly. What started as a cracked frame section ended with custom steel reinforcement plates welded in across multiple problem areas on both units. Clean welds, solid coverage, and the kind of structural integrity that gives you confidence when the ground is finally ready to work. Waiting until something fails in the field costs you a lot more than the repair itself - in time, in stress, and sometimes in yield. Getting this kind of farm equipment welding done ahead of the season is exactly the right call.

Ambulance Camper Body Mount Rebuild Done Right in Colfax

This one came to us after someone else took a shortcut. The ambulance camper body had been "mounted" - brackets blown apart, mounts ripped off, and the whole thing hanging on by a single bolt. That's not a mount. That's a disaster waiting to happen on the road. First thing we did was strip it all off. No patching over bad work. We pulled the body completely off the frame so we could see exactly what we were dealing with and start fresh. When you're building something that has to hold up to real off-road use, you can't build on top of someone else's mess. We fabbed up solid frame mounts from scratch, machined custom bushings, and designed a compression spring setup into each mount point. That spring system isn't just for show - it gives the body real flex when the truck hits rough terrain instead of transferring all that stress directly into the frame and brackets. That's the difference between a mount that lasts and one that rips apart after a few rough miles. This is exactly the kind of custom welding and fabrication work we do every day. Whether it's a body mount rebuild like this, structural frame work, or something else that requires it to actually hold - we build it to last. No guessing, no shortcuts, no hoping it holds together. If you've got a rig that was "fixed" by someone who didn't do it right the first time, we can sort it out. We work out of Wahpeton and run mobile service too, so we can come to you when needed.

Custom Boat Lift Crank Extension Built for Lake Mary's Bigfoot Resort

A customer at Bigfoot Resort on Lake Mary had a problem. Their existing boat lift crank wasn't going to cut it - the dock sits taller than a standard setup, and that means the crank handle ends up in an awkward spot that's tough to actually use. Not a complicated problem, but it's the kind of thing that needs a real solution, not a workaround. That's where we came in. We fabricated a custom crank extension right on-site, built to match the height of the dock and work the way it's supposed to. No ordering some generic part that may or may not fit. Just a purpose-built piece, welded up to do exactly one job and do it right. This is a good example of what mobile welding and dock and marine work actually looks like in practice. Most of it isn't dramatic. It's solving a specific problem for a specific customer - getting in, doing clean work, and making sure everything functions the way it needs to before the boats hit the water. The weld itself is visible on the post - solid, clean, and tied in properly to the existing structure. That matters. A boat lift works under load every single time it gets used, so the fabrication has to hold. We don't cut corners on something like that. Lake season is right around the corner, and this lift is ready for it. If you've got a dock, lift, or marine structure that needs a modification or repair before the water gets busy, we can come to you.

We Fixed the weak Points Before They Failed in the Field

When a planter goes down mid-season, it's not just an equipment problem - it's a money problem. Every hour it sits is acres you're not planting. That's exactly why we take a different approach to this kind of farm equipment welding work. We don't just patch what's visible. We dig in and find everything that's failing or about to fail. These two White planters came in with cracked frames and some welds that were never going to hold up long-term. Before we struck a single arc, we went through both machines and mapped out every weak point. Bad welds got ground out completely. Problem areas on the planter frames got cleaned up and prepped right - no shortcuts. That's the only way a repair actually lasts. We also fabricated new steel reinforcement plates from scratch to address the spots that needed more than a weld. You can see the precision in the fab work - each piece cut and shaped to fit cleanly against the existing frame geometry, with a machined tube collar integrated right into the plate. That's not off-the-shelf. That's custom fabrication built specifically for what this equipment needed. The goal here was simple: get both planters field-ready and keep them that way. Not a quick fix that holds for one season and fails again. We reinforced both machines so the weak points that caused the original damage are no longer weak points at all. That kind of work takes longer up front, but it saves a lot of headaches when you're in the middle of a planting window and can't afford a breakdown.

Cracked Boat Transom Repair Keeps This North Dakota Rig Running

A heavy motor cracked the transom and the wind finished the job - boat was dead in the water. That's about the worst thing that can happen when you're in the middle of the season. They brought it in, we squeezed them into the schedule, and got to work. The transom on an aluminum boat takes a serious beating. All that motor weight, the torque, the constant vibration - it puts stress on the same spots over and over. When a crack finally opens up, you can't ignore it. Water gets in, the structure weakens, and what starts as a hairline becomes a real problem fast. Our aluminum TIG welding gives us the precision to address exactly that kind of damage without compromising the surrounding material. What we did here was a temporary fix - strong enough to get them back on the water and keep them there for the rest of the season. The aluminum diamond plate deck, the Power Lift mounting points, the transom structure itself - everything needed to be accounted for to make sure the repair held under load. It did. They left the same day. The plan is to make it permanent this off-season. That means a full structural weld - not just a patch. We'll have more access, more time, and we can do it right without the pressure of a lost day hanging over everyone. That's how we prefer to work when the schedule allows it. Some repairs can wait. A cracked transom is not one of them. If your boat is showing stress cracks or weld failures around the motor mount or transom area, get it looked at before it becomes a bigger headache than it needs to be.

Custom 12K Winch Setup Built to Chain to a Tree

Sometimes the job site doesn't cooperate. No anchor point, no solid structure to pull against - just trees and whatever you've got on hand. That's exactly the kind of problem this build was designed to solve. We fabbed up a custom 12K winch setup built specifically to chain off a tree and get to work. No permanent anchor required. The whole unit is built around heavy square tube steel with integrated chain hooks welded directly to the frame - not bolted, not clamped, welded. That's not an accident. When you're pulling with 12,000 pounds of force, you don't want anything on that rig that could work loose under load. The welds on the hook mounts are tight and fully seated into the base steel. Every connection point on this build was thought through. The winch receiver and the chain attachment points are positioned so the load pulls straight and even - because an off-center pull at that capacity is how things go sideways fast. This is the kind of custom fabrication work we do every day. Somebody had a real-world problem, and an off-the-shelf solution didn't exist for it. So we built one. Heavy steel, solid welds, designed for actual field conditions - not a showroom. If you've got a situation that needs a purpose-built solution, that's exactly what we're set up to handle. One-off builds, specialty mounts, heavy fab work - we do it all out of the shop.

  Valley City, ND

Structural Steel Repair at Maryvale in Valley City

Sometimes the most expensive weld is the cheap one someone else laid down first. That's exactly what brought us out to Maryvale in Valley City - another welder left structural work in questionable condition, and we got the call to come in and make it right. That happens more than it should. Here's what we were working with: overhead structural connections that hadn't been done properly, beam-to-column joints that needed full cleanup and reinforcement, and welds that weren't going to pass inspection as-is. Tight spaces, awkward angles, sparks flying. One full day of on-site field welding to sort out what the last guy left behind. Overhead structural welding is one of the harder things to do well. You're fighting gravity on every pass, and there's no hiding a bad bead when the work has to hold up under load and pass a real inspection. We ground out the problem areas, ran clean reinforcement welds, and made sure every connection was solid before we packed up. The close-up shots of the finished welds tell the story. Consistent bead profile, proper fusion, no voids - the kind of heavy structural welding that's built to last and built to pass. That's 17-plus years of experience behind the hood, and it shows in the quality of every joint we touch. Cheap work always finds a way to get expensive. Whether it's a failed inspection, structural concern, or just needing to call in someone to redo what was already paid for once - cutting corners on structural steel repair costs more in the end. We do it right the first time, every time.

  Enderlin, ND

John Deere 980 Field Cultivator Frame Repair in Enderlin ND

This one had been sitting dead since last fall. A John Deere 980 Field Cultivator out near Enderlin with a broken frame, multiple cracked welds, and weak points that needed attention before it ever touched a field again. Another welder had already no-showed on the farmer. We got the call and drove out. Here's what we were working with - a main frame section that had cracked through at a joint, along with several other welds across the cultivator that had either failed or were close to it. Before we even struck an arc, we walked the machine and marked everything that needed to go. Fish plates, gussets, full weld repairs - we planned the whole scope right there in the field. Getting under a piece of equipment that size in the dirt is just part of the job. We laid down on the creeper, got into position under the frame, and burned it in right there on-site. No shop. No trailer ride. No waiting. That's what mobile farm equipment welding is about - you bring the work to where the machine is, and you get it done. The crack repairs and reinforcements we put in aren't just patches. The fish plate and gusset work you can see here are structural fixes designed to hold up under real field stress - the kind of pounding a cultivator takes pass after pass. We're not interested in sending a machine back out just to have it fail again in two weeks. When we fix it, we fix it right. By the time the sun was going down over that field, the cultivator was repaired, reinforced, and ready to work. That's what it comes down to - a farmer needed his equipment running and we made it happen. No excuses, no delays. Just solid welds and a machine back where it belongs.
•
  Argusville, ND

Air Seeder Frame Crack Repair Right in the Field Near Argusville

A cracked air seeder frame mid-planting is about the worst thing that can happen. Every hour that machine sits is an hour you're not putting seed in the ground. When we got the call out of Argusville, we loaded up and headed out - no waiting, no hauling the machine to a shop. Here's what we were working with: the frame had developed serious cracks right at the stress points where the vertical and horizontal members meet. Not surface-level stuff either. These were full splits working their way through the steel. Left alone, that frame doesn't finish the season - it fails completely. We ground out every crack to get down to clean metal, then burned them in right. Proper penetration matters here. A weld that just sits on top of a crack isn't a repair - it's a temporary fix waiting to let go again. Once the cracks were welded out solid, we fabricated and welded custom reinforcement plates directly over the repaired areas. Those plates tie everything together and spread the load so the same spots don't crack again. That's the part that takes this beyond a patch job. The frame is genuinely stronger now than it was from the factory. The customer got back in the field the same day, and we're already scheduled to come back and handle the other side once planting wraps up. That's how mobile farm equipment welding should work - come to you, fix it right, and keep you moving. If your air seeder, planter, or any other piece of ag equipment develops cracks during the season, don't wait. A small crack turns into a broken frame fast under field loads. We specialize in farm equipment welding and equipment crack repair, and we bring the shop to you.

  Sauk Centre, MN

Custom Stainless Wheel Assemblies Saved This Sauk Centre Boat Lift

Here's what we were working with - a Pier Pleasure boat lift out of Sauk Centre, MN with wheel assemblies so far gone that the shafts had worn the mounting holes completely loose. That kind of slop doesn't just make the lift feel sloppy to operate. It puts the whole thing at risk of failing mid-use. The factory parts had run their course, and no off-the-shelf replacement was going to cut it. So we scrapped the worn-out setup entirely and started from scratch. We laid out all the new plate profiles right on a fresh sheet of stainless steel - you can see the full layout marked out in blue, eight pieces cut from a single sheet with zero wasted material. From there, we machined new shafts to tight tolerances, used a mag drill to bore clean, precise holes through the stainless plate, and TIG welded the shafts in place. Those heat-colored TIG welds are a good sign - that's what proper fusion on stainless looks like. What makes these better than what came off the lift? First, they're stainless steel - rust isn't a conversation anymore. Second, we built in an adjustable universal mounting system so these assemblies can transfer to a different lift down the road if needed. That kind of forward-thinking design is something you just don't get with factory replacement parts. This is exactly the kind of work our dock and marine welding service is built for. When a part doesn't exist, or when what exists isn't good enough, we build something better in-house. Full control over the design, the material, and the fit. No compromises. The lift is back in the water and doing its job. No wobble, no rust, no patchwork fixes that'll need attention again next season. When you build it right the first time, that's the end of the conversation.

  Christine, ND

Roller Tongue Torn Off in Christine ND - Fixed Same Day

A farmer out of Christine, North Dakota got hit with the kind of breakdown that stops fieldwork cold - a roller tongue completely torn off. That's not a wait-until-tomorrow situation. We got the call late in the afternoon and headed straight out. Here's what we were working with: a cracked tube that had fully let go at the tongue. The whole connection point was compromised. A quick patch wasn't going to cut it. We cut off the damaged tube, cleaned everything up, and beveled the tube ends to prep for a full-penetration weld. That step matters more than most people realize - it's what separates a weld that holds from one that cracks again three fields later. We built the tongue back with a solid plate-to-tube connection and ran clean, tight welds all the way around. The finished joint is stronger than what came off the factory floor. That's not a boast - that's just what proper prep and full-penetration welding does. You're not just filling a gap, you're fusing the steel together as one piece. The farmer was back rolling before the sun went down. That's what emergency farm equipment welding is supposed to look like. No days lost. No waiting on a dealer. No hauling equipment anywhere. We came to the field, handled it, and got out of the way so he could get back to work. When equipment cracks or fails mid-season, every hour the machine sits costs money. We do mobile repairs, shop work, and emergency calls - whatever it takes to get you back up and running. If you're dealing with cracked frames, torn connections, or structural damage on any ag equipment, this is exactly the kind of work we do every day.

  Perley, MN

Fuel Trailer Fender Mount and Storage Cabinet Repair in Perley MN

This one came in with two problems that needed to be fixed before this trailer could go back to work. A broken fender mount and a rear storage cabinet that had separated from the tank body. Neither issue was going to fix itself, so we mobilized out to Perley, MN and got after it. The fender mount repair is the kind of thing that looks simple on the surface but has to be done right. A mount that fails again down the road is worse than no repair at all. We cleaned the area, prepped the metal properly, and laid down solid welds that are built to hold - not just look good. The storage cabinet separation was a similar story. When a cabinet starts pulling away from the tank, the longer you let it go, the worse the damage gets. We re-secured it and welded it back tight. Clean, consistent beads throughout. The kind of work that holds up mile after mile. What makes these jobs worth doing right is the stakes involved. Fuel trailers aren't optional equipment - they keep operations running. A trailer sitting in a yard waiting on repairs costs real money. We show up, do the work correctly the first time, and get the customer back on the road. That's the whole point. Whether it's a fender mount, a cracked tank seam, or a storage cabinet pulling loose - our trailer welding and repair work covers it all. We come to you when we can, and we don't cut corners when we get there.

Railroad Spike Driver Repair Near Leonard ND

When railroad maintenance equipment goes down, it doesn't go down in a shop. It goes down on the tracks, in the middle of nowhere, with a whole crew waiting on it. That's exactly the kind of situation we live for. We rolled out to Leonard, ND to tackle a field repair on a spike driver - one of those heavy-duty pieces of rail maintenance equipment that keeps the tracks tight and safe. These machines take a beating. And when something fails on one, you can't exactly haul it into a shop without a major production. That's where mobile welding makes all the difference. We set up right there on the line. No shop, no overhead crane, no ideal conditions. Just solid technique, the right equipment, and experience working on heavy iron in the field. Getting the repair done on-site meant the crew could get back to work without losing the kind of time that kills a maintenance schedule. This is what our on-site field welding service is built for - industrial repairs that can't wait and can't be moved. Railroad equipment, heavy machinery, ag equipment, construction iron. If it's broken and it's stuck somewhere, we'll come to it. Keeping America working one repair at a time isn't just a saying for us. It's literally what we do, job after job, out in the field where it counts.

John Deere Planter Wing End Rebuilt from Scratch in Durbin ND

What started as a crack inspection on a John Deere planter turned into something much bigger. Once we got in close and really assessed the damage on the planter wing end, it was clear a simple weld-over wasn't going to cut it. The structural damage around the pivot area was too far gone. The only honest fix was to cut it out and rebuild it right. So that's exactly what we did. We cut out the damaged section, rebuilt the pivot area from new material, and fitted everything back together. The pivot bore had to be laid out and cut precisely into the new steel - you can see the layout work done directly on the fresh tube stock before cutting. Getting that bore location right is critical. If it's off even a little, the wing won't track correctly in the field. Alignment was a big part of this job. We used a level across the new section during fit-up to make sure everything was sitting true before a single weld bead went down. That kind of attention during the fit-up stage is what separates a repair that holds from one that fails again two seasons later. Once everything checked out, we welded it back together and got it painted up. The finished end came out solid - clean welds, proper alignment, and a pivot area that's actually stronger than what was there before. This planter was ready to go back to work. That matters a lot when the window for getting into the field is tight and every day of downtime costs you. Not every equipment crack repair stays a crack repair. Sometimes the inspection reveals something worse underneath. When that happens, we don't patch over it and hope for the best. We fix it correctly the first time - whether that means a targeted weld repair or a full section rebuild like this one. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every job we roll out to.

Drag Truck Emergency Repair Saved a Canadian Racer's Weekend

Sometimes you get a call that sets the tone for the whole day. A customer was hauling his drag truck down from Canada - race weekend on the line - when a broken shock tower threatened to shut the whole trip down before it even started. He called us, we got him in, and we got it handled. That's the thing about race builds. They run at the edge of what metal can take. When something lets go at the wrong time, you need someone who can look at it, understand what they're dealing with, and fix it right - not just good enough to limp home, but good enough to go back out and race. That's exactly the standard we held here. One look at this build and you can tell this customer is serious. Brodix heads, a big turbo setup, a full cage, and the kind of attention to detail that takes years and real money to put together. A rig like that deserves a repair done with the same level of care. We treated it that way. This is also a good reminder of what having a shop that does custom welding and fabrication actually means in practice. It's not just planned builds and scheduled jobs. It's being the place someone can call when things go sideways on the road, and being able to deliver under that kind of pressure. We squeezed him in, fixed the shock tower, and had him back on his way in time to make the race. No drama. No missed passes. Just a truck that rolled into the trailer ready to go. That's what we're here for.

Custom Aluminum Battery Lids Built to Spec in Wahpeton

We built a pair of custom aluminum battery lids for Vestis out of Fargo. They came to us with specific dimensions and requirements, and we handled everything right here in our Wahpeton shop - from fit-up to finish. Aluminum is one of those materials that doesn't forgive sloppiness. It's lightweight and corrosion-resistant, which makes it a great choice for battery enclosures, but it also means the fit-up and welding have to be dialed in from the start. Gaps, warping, or inconsistent heat input will show up immediately on aluminum in a way they just won't on steel. That's where our aluminum TIG welding really earns its keep. TIG gives us precise heat control and a clean, consistent bead that holds tight tolerances on parts like these. Every joint needs to be structurally sound and sealed correctly - there's no room for a sloppy pass when you're talking about protecting battery components. These lids were built to the customer's exact specs. Clean angles, square corners, consistent welds throughout. That kind of attention to detail is the difference between a part that fits right the first time and one that needs rework on the customer's end. We don't cut corners on fit-up just to move faster. Whether you need a one-off custom part or a small run of identical components, this is the kind of work we do every day out of our Wahpeton shop. If you've got a custom fabrication need and want it done right, we're ready to talk through what you need.

Tilt Trailer Assembly Repair in Hawley MN Earns 5-Star Review

A broken tilt assembly doesn't just sit there looking ugly - it stops your whole operation cold. That's exactly what Jeremy in Hawley, MN was dealing with. His tilt trailer was down, and hauling wasn't happening until it got fixed right. We made the trip out to him. That's the whole point of mobile welding - you shouldn't have to figure out how to haul a broken trailer to a shop. We bring the shop to you. From the tilt cylinder mount to the structural components of the assembly, we worked through what needed to be repaired and got it done on-site. The tilt mechanism on a trailer like this takes a beating. Constant load cycles, hydraulic pressure, and real-world use wear things down over time. When something in that system fails, it's not a small inconvenience - you're looking at a trailer that can't function the way it was built to. Getting the repair done properly means solid welds, proper fit-up, and attention to how everything works together once it's back under load. Jeremy left us a 5-star Google review and put it simply - fast service, great communication, and his trailer was back up and on the road. That's exactly what we're going for every time we pull up to a job. We're sitting at a perfect 5.0 across 37 reviews, and we don't take that lightly. If you've got a trailer that needs welding or structural repair and you're in the area, we'll come to you. No shop drop-off required.

Suspension Bracket Transfer onto New Disc Brake Axles for Fargo Customer

Sometimes factory parts just don't line up the way you need them to. That's a reality a lot of trailer owners run into when they're trying to upgrade axles or swap components - what works on paper doesn't always work in the shop. This job out of Fargo was exactly that kind of situation. A customer needed their original suspension brackets transferred over to a new set of disc brake axles. Sounds straightforward, but this type of work requires precise fitting, careful positioning, and solid welds that will hold up under real load on the road. Get it wrong and you're looking at a serious safety problem down the line. We don't cut corners on that kind of work. Here's what the process actually looks like. The old axles came apart, the suspension components were removed, and the brackets were fitted to the new disc brake axles - then welded into place. The close-up weld shots tell the story pretty well. Clean, consistent passes right where the bracket meets the axle tube. That's the kind of weld that doesn't fail. This is where our custom welding and fabrication work really earns its keep. It's not just about running a bead - it's about understanding how these components interact under stress, making sure everything is square, and knowing exactly how much heat you can put into a joint before you start causing problems elsewhere. We do this kind of trailer welding and repair work regularly, and it shows in the finished product. The axles went back out the door ready to work. That's the goal every time - get the customer back on the road with something they can trust.

Major Planter Rebuild Gets a 5-Star Result in the Red River Valley

This one was not a small job. A repeat customer came to us with a planter that needed serious work - we're talking cut it apart, rebuild the structural sections, fabricate new components, and put it all back together so it's stronger than it ever was from the factory. That last part is not our words. That's straight from the customer's own review. Here's what made this job interesting. The planter had structural damage that couldn't be patched or welded over. The right call was to cut it down and start fresh on the key sections. We fabricated new mounting plates and pivot components right on-site, fitting everything up on portable work stands in the yard. That's the kind of flexibility you get with mobile welding - we come to you, and we bring everything needed to do the job right. Once the fabricated sections were fitted and welded in, we reassembled the whole unit. The row units lined up clean, the hydraulic routing went back into place, and the planter came out sitting level and solid. When a customer says the finished result is better than factory, that tells you the rebuild wasn't just a repair - it was an upgrade. Five-star reviews from repeat customers do not happen by accident. They happen because the work holds up and the farmer trusts you enough to call again when the next problem shows up. That trust is something we take seriously on every single job, whether it's a crack repair on a toolbar or a full structural rebuild like this one. No shortcuts. Ever.

Beavertail Flotation Pods TIG Welded onto a Bass Tracker

A customer brought in their Bass Tracker wanting more float and better stability on the water. The solution was a set of Beavertail medium flotation pods - welded directly onto the hull using TIG welding. Not bolted. Not clamped. Permanently welded. Here's why that matters. Flotation pods add buoyancy and widen the effective footprint of the hull at the transom. That translates to a more stable platform when you're standing up to cast, better ride in choppy water, and improved overall performance at speed. It's a real upgrade - not just a cosmetic one. TIG welding is the right process for this kind of aluminum work. It gives us precise heat control, which is critical when you're welding to an existing hull that you don't want to warp or weaken. The welds are clean, strong, and fully fused to the boat - not sitting on top of it. Once the pods were welded on, we blended everything in so it looked like it belonged there from the factory. That's the part a lot of people don't think about until they see two different finishes sitting next to each other. Taking the time to blend the work in properly is what separates a quality job from one that just gets it done. The boat rolled back out on the trailer ready to fish. If you've got an aluminum boat that needs fabrication work - whether it's adding pods, repairing hull damage, or something custom - this is exactly the kind of work we do.

When the Factory Hitch Isn't Enough We Build What Is

Sometimes the factory just doesn't cut it. That was exactly the situation here - a customer needed to pull a coil packer behind his field cultivator, and the factory rear hitch simply wasn't built to handle that kind of load. So we got to work. What we came up with was a heavy-duty reinforcement system designed to spread the load across the frame instead of concentrating all that stress on a single hitch point. That's the kind of thing that matters when you're putting serious hours on a machine. A weak hitch point under that much strain isn't just an inconvenience - it's a breakdown waiting to happen in the middle of a field. One thing we were deliberate about was keeping the whole setup serviceable. We welded flanges onto the cultivator frame so the entire reinforcement assembly bolts on and off. No cutting. No grinding. If something ever needs to come off down the road, it comes off clean. That kind of forward-thinking is a big part of our approach to farm equipment welding - we don't just fix the problem in front of us, we think about what happens next. That's what separates a proper fabrication job from a quick fix. Any shop can slap something together and call it done. We take the time to engineer it so it works the way it needs to work, holds up under real field conditions, and doesn't create headaches later. Farmers in North Dakota and Minnesota don't have time for headaches. If you've got a piece of equipment that the factory didn't quite build strong enough for how you're using it, that's exactly the kind of problem we solve. Custom fab, hitch reinforcement, frame work - we handle it all.

Donkey Forklift Steering Arm Repair and Reinforcement in Fargo

This Donkey forklift came to us with a steering arm that had already been through a previous repair attempt. That repair had failed - badly. The area around the pivot bore was gouged out and structurally compromised, leaving the arm in worse shape than if it had never been touched. A failed weld repair on a steering component is not something you can ignore and hope for the best. We made the trip to Fargo and handled everything right at the customer's location. No trailer, no haul-out, no waiting for a shop slot to open up. That matters when a machine is sitting dead and costing you time. The first step was fully gouging out the failed repair material and rebuilding the damaged area from scratch - getting back to clean, solid steel before adding anything new. Once the base material was properly rebuilt, we fabricated and installed custom-cut reinforcement plates directly over the steering arm. You can see the finished plates bolted and welded into place, fitted cleanly around the pivot bearing and tied into the surrounding structure. This is not a patch - it is a structural upgrade over what was there originally. That is the difference between fixing it right and fixing it again later. When a previous repair has already let someone down, the next repair has to be better than original spec. The reinforcement plates we added distribute load across a wider area, reducing the stress concentration that caused the first failure. The steering arm is back together, the machine is back to work, and it is built to stay that way. This is exactly what our heavy equipment welding and equipment crack repair work is built for - structural failures on machines that cannot afford to sit. If you have got equipment down in North Dakota or Minnesota and hauling it to a shop is not practical, we can come to you and get it done right at your location.

Pump Truck Leak Repair for the Walcott Fire Department

When a fire department's pump truck has a leak, it's not just a maintenance issue - it's a public safety issue. The Walcott Fire Department needed their truck back in service, and getting it done fast was the only option. The leak was coming from inside the water tank. Tight quarters, corroded metal, and a crack that had worked its way through the tank wall. This is exactly the kind of repair that looks simple from the outside but gets complicated fast once you're inside looking at the damage up close. You can see the cracking and corrosion that had to be fully cleaned out and prepped before any repair work could happen. We were able to get the truck into Jon Reiger Seed's shop, which gave us the space and setup we needed to do the job right. A steel patch was welded in place over the damaged section of the tank, sealing it up solid. No shortcuts, no temporary fixes - just a proper repair that holds up under pressure the way a piece of fire equipment needs to. This is the kind of work we take seriously. Fire departments run lean, and every piece of equipment has to be reliable. A truck sitting in the bay with a leak isn't protecting anyone. Getting it repaired and back on the road quickly is what matters. Whether it's a fire apparatus, a fuel tank, or any other piece of equipment with a crack or leak that can't wait - we're set up to handle it. We come to you, or we work with whatever shop space is available to get the job done efficiently. © Mapbox © OpenStreetMap Improve this map Use two fingers to move the mapUse ctrl + scroll to zoom the map

Track Grooming Equipment Repair at North Dakota Horse Park in Fargo

The North Dakota Horse Park called us out to get their track grooming equipment back in working order. The spindles on both wheels had given out - and without that groomer running, the track doesn't get conditioned. No track conditioning means no racing. That kind of downtime isn't an option for a facility like this. Here's what we were working with: a heavy-duty orange grooming drag with wheel spindles that needed to be fully replaced. We came out on-site, got everything torn down, and fabricated a pair of new spindles to fit the application. Mobile welding is exactly what makes a job like this efficient - no hauling the equipment across town, no waiting for shop availability. We bring the work to you. Once the new spindles were fitted and seated, we welded them in solid and added gusset reinforcement to the mounting points. That extra triangulated steel support isn't just there to look good - it distributes the load across a wider area of the frame, which means the spindle connection holds up a lot better over time compared to a simple straight weld. That's the kind of detail that prevents the same repair from coming back around. The welds you see here are clean, fully penetrated, and laid down with care. When equipment like this is getting dragged around a dirt track day after day, the weld quality has to be there. Sloppy welds crack under that kind of repetitive stress. We don't cut corners, especially on equipment that a facility depends on to keep its operation running. This is the kind of repair we do regularly - heavy equipment, unique applications, on-site service. Whether it's track grooming gear, farm implements, or anything else with steel that's broken down, we show up ready to fix it right.

Broken Baler Axle Rebuilt and Back in the Field Near Nome ND

Sometimes the best jobs come from a chance conversation. We were already out in the field working on another piece of equipment when a farmer from Nome, ND stopped by and asked if we could look at his baler. The axle had failed - badly. We pulled it off, loaded it up, and brought it back to the shop. Here's what we were dealing with. The axle assembly was cracked and deteriorated at the mounting end - the kind of failure that doesn't just slow you down, it stops you completely. The hub and spindle were still intact, but the section connecting everything together was done. Trying to patch something like that in place would not have held. It needed to come apart and get rebuilt the right way. Back at the shop, we got the axle up on the welding table, cut out the failed section, and started fresh. We used clamps and a level to get everything dialed in and square before we ever struck an arc. Alignment on an axle like this matters - if it's off even slightly, you're going to wear out bushings fast or end up with handling problems in the field. We don't skip that step. Once the rebuild was done and everything checked out, we headed to his farm and finished the job on-site. New bushing installed, rebuilt axle fitted back under the baler, and the whole assembly torqued down and ready to work. That's the thing about mobile welding - the repair doesn't stop at the shop door. We follow it all the way through. Hay season in North Dakota doesn't give you a buffer. Every day a baler sits is a day of cutting that doesn't happen. Getting this farmer back up and running fast wasn't just about the repair - it was about making sure the season kept moving. That's exactly what we're here for.

Fuel Tanks, Farm Equipment, Trailers and More Across North Dakota

No two weeks are ever the same for us - and that is exactly how we like it. Between fuel tank repairs, farm equipment calls, landing gear replacements on side dump trailers, and factory warranty work on a semi 4-post lift, we have been moving fast and covering a lot of ground across the Red River Valley. Fuel tank welding is one of those jobs where clean, precise work is non-negotiable. When a tank comes in damaged or leaking, the welds have to hold up under pressure and real-world use. We take that seriously every single time - whether it is a single tank or multiple units sitting side by side on the shop floor waiting their turn. The trailer side of things keeps us just as busy. Landing gear on a side dump trailer takes a beating. When that gear fails or gets damaged, the trailer is down - and a trailer that is down means money is sitting still. We get in, assess what needs to go, replace what is worn out, and get it back road-ready. That is the whole goal. Out in the field, farm equipment calls are a different kind of challenge. We pull up to the machine wherever it sits, set up on the spot, and get to work. Farmers do not have time to haul equipment across the county when something breaks - so we bring the shop to them. This is mobile welding the way it is supposed to work. Every job on this list is different. Different equipment, different locations, different problems to solve. But the approach stays the same - show up, do the job right, and keep our customers working. That is what we are here for.

Keeping Silverstar Car Wash Running Across Multiple Locations

Car washes run on tight margins. When something breaks - a conveyor rail, a drive motor mount, a worn structural component deep in the tunnel - every hour it sits down is revenue out the door. That's exactly the kind of problem we solve for Silverstar Car Wash, and we've been doing it across multiple locations. We rolled out to hit several spots in a single run. Some of the work was planned. Some of it was the classic 'we need someone now' call. Either way, we showed up with our fully equipped rig and got to work. That's the whole point of mobile, on-site field welding - you don't haul the equipment to a shop. We bring the shop to the equipment. The conveyor systems inside these tunnels take a beating. Constant water exposure, chemical wash, heavy load cycles day after day. We're talking about structural steel components that hold the entire conveyor drive system together. When those start to crack, shift, or fail, it's not a minor fix. It takes someone who understands both the welding side and the mechanical side of what they're looking at. Fresh bracket welds tied directly into the conveyor rail framing - solid, clean, built to handle the environment they're going back into. What we did across these locations falls right in line with what we do best - on-site field welding, structural steel repair, and responding fast when something needs to be fixed right now. Silverstar keeps trusting us with their locations because we show up, we handle it, and we keep their downtime as short as possible. That's the job. Multi-location commercial clients need a welding partner they can call without explaining everything from scratch every time. We know these systems. We know what fails and why. And we know how to fix it right the first time so it doesn't become a repeat call.

Ram Truck Converted Into a Dedicated Soil Sampling Rig for Nutrien Ag Solutions

This is the second soil sampling truck we've built for Nutrien Ag Solutions - and honestly, getting asked back for a second build means more to us than just about anything. Repeat customers are the real measure of whether you're doing things right. Here's what this kind of build actually involves. It's not just bolting something in. Seats came out to make room for the hydraulic system. A full custom framework was fabricated and installed to mount everything securely. Hydraulics were plumbed, an auxiliary battery system was added to handle the extra electrical load, and the exhaust was rerouted to work around all of it. Every piece had to fit together in a way that made sense for a truck that's going to get used hard in the field. The hydraulic column you see mounted inside the cab is the heart of the whole setup. It needs to be solid - this isn't a trailer queen, it's a working tool that gets driven through fields and put to use every single day. The fabrication and mounting had to be done right, not just good enough. That's the kind of custom fabrication work we genuinely enjoy taking on. When someone has a specific need that an off-the-shelf solution can't solve, that's where we come in. Whether it's ag equipment, work trucks, or something else entirely - if it needs to be built from scratch or heavily modified, we can make it happen. Thanks again to Nutrien Ag Solutions for trusting us with another one. We don't take that lightly.

Fish House Frame Repair at Lake Reno Resort in Alexandria MN

We made the trip out to Lake Reno Resort in Alexandria, MN for this one. The fish house looked fine from the outside - but once we got underneath it, the original frame was in rough shape. Rust had eaten completely through the steel in multiple spots, leaving actual holes in the frame rail. This thing was not going back on the ice without serious work. Here's the thing about fish houses - they take a beating year after year. Salt, snow, ice melt, moisture sitting underneath them all summer. The frame is the last thing most people think about until it's too late. By the time rust punches through the steel like this, you're not dealing with surface corrosion anymore. You're dealing with a structural problem. We jacked the house up, cut out the sections that were beyond saving, and replaced them with new steel. Everything got welded back together solid. The after shots show a clean, fresh frame rail where there used to be nothing but rust and holes. That's the difference between patching over a problem and actually fixing it. Ice season comes up fast in Minnesota. If your fish house has been sitting since last winter and you haven't checked what's going on underneath it, now is the time to do that - not in November when the lakes are freezing and everyone wants to get out all at once. A frame repair like this is completely doable, but you need to get on the schedule before the rush hits.

Boat Lift Bracket Repair and Reinforcement at Jamestown Reservoir

Got a call to head out to Jamestown Reservoir for a boat lift with a failed bracket. Not a bad office for the day. When we pulled up and started looking things over, it was pretty clear the one bracket that broke wasn't the only concern - the whole setup had some weak points that were just waiting for their turn to fail. So instead of patching the one bad bracket and calling it done, we fabricated new aluminum reinforcement plates and gussets right there on-site and strengthened all of the brackets. That's the whole point of a fully equipped mobile welding rig - we're not limited to what we can carry in a toolbox. We can cut, fabricate, and weld on the spot, wherever the equipment happens to sit. The broken bracket told a familiar story. Aluminum boat lift frames take a beating over the years - constant load cycles, water exposure, vibration from waves. A single point fails and it's easy to just fix that one spot. But if the rest of the brackets are built the same way with the same weak geometry, you're just buying time until the next one goes. We'd rather address the whole problem while we're already there. The new aluminum plates and gussets are welded tight with clean TIG welds - the kind of work that holds up long-term in a wet, high-stress environment. The lift is solid now, not just patched. That's the difference between a quick fix and an actual repair. Whether it's a boat lift, a dock, a trailer, or something out on the farm - if it's broken and you can't bring it to us, we come to you. That's what mobile welding is all about.

Grain Cart Frame Repair Before Harvest Hits

Most equipment breakdowns don't happen at a convenient time. They happen mid-harvest, when the combine is running, the truck is waiting, and every delay costs you. That's exactly the kind of situation this job was about preventing. This customer had a grain cart with some worn and cracked spots on the frame that needed attention. Nothing catastrophic yet - but left alone, it was only a matter of time. Rather than roll the dice and hope it made it through harvest, they got ahead of it. Smart call. We came out on-site and got to work on the frame repairs. The cracks and worn mounting areas got fully welded out and reinforced. We're talking solid, clean welds tied into the existing structure - not a patch job, but a proper repair that's built to hold up under load season after season. That's the thing about farm equipment welding - the goal isn't just to make it look fixed. It has to actually perform. A grain cart running full loads through harvest puts real stress on the frame, so the repair has to be done right the first time. A little downtime now, on your terms, beats a lot of downtime later when you can't afford it. If you've got equipment that's showing wear or cracks, don't wait for it to become an emergency.

Case IH Field Cultivator Rocker Bar and Shaft Replacement in Mapleton

Hauling a large field cultivator across the countryside just to get it fixed is a headache nobody wants. It takes time, it ties up equipment, and it pulls you away from everything else on the farm. That's exactly why we run a mobile rig - we come to you, do the work where the machine sits, and get you back up and running without the logistics nightmare. This was a rocker bar and shaft replacement on a Case IH field cultivator out in Mapleton, ND. The old rocker bar and components were worn out and needed to go. We pulled everything apart on-site, got accurate measurements on the frame to make sure the new shaft would fit right, and fabbed up the replacement parts to spec. Fresh steel, properly fitted, installed right there in the yard. What makes a job like this interesting is the amount of prep work that goes into it before any welding even starts. Getting the measurements dialed in, having the right steel on hand, and understanding how all the components work together - that's what separates a clean repair from one that causes problems down the road. Our farm equipment welding work is built around getting those details right the first time. Once the new shaft and components were in, the cultivator went back together clean. No shop visit, no trailer rental, no waiting in a service line. The customer had their equipment ready to go without it leaving the property. That's the whole point of mobile welding - it meets you where you are.
